EA Bans Battlefield 3 Accounts Following Bug Exploit
"We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating."
November 14,2011
Electronic Arts banned several accounts this weekend for exploiting an experience loophole in Battlefield 3.
"This week we've banned hundreds of offending accounts and have stats-wiped accounts for exploiting (such as boosting)," EA wrote on Twitter. "We are working on banning as many people as we can as quickly as we can. We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating."
Battlefield 3 Engineer Exploit
The exploit in question lets friends team up to infinitely repair a friendly bot while playing as Engineers in a hardcore match. EA confirmed that a patch to eliminate the exploit is currently being worked on and will be "coming soon."
