I have really missed playin with you guys, but here is what happened to me.
It started a week ago Saturday when my hard drive crashed. No biggie, just get a new one and re-install everything right?
Well Sunday night I am going to bed and feel like I am coming down with the flu. I take some Vitamin C and go to bed. I wake up in the middle of the night with a 103 temp and a sharp pain in my right leg between my knee and ankle. By Monday morning fever is still 102 and I have a 3" wide red band around my calf. I call the doc and get an ultrasound done to test for blood clots. No blood clots but leg is getting redder and still have a high fever. Doc gives me antibiotics for a skin infection. Antibiotics didn't do a thing so back to the doc Wed. By now 100-102 temp is taking its toll and I am dehydrated almost passing out at docs office. Doc says time to go to the hospital. Check in at 2:45pm and finally see the doc at 10:30pm and get on Ampicillan and Vanco, the "heavy artillery" of antibiotics. My leg from the knee down is pretty much one big infection. Swollen to almost 2xs the size of my other leg and bright red everywhere except in the back where some "oozing" yellow stuff is.
Today is Wednesday, a week later and I am writing this from the hospital. UGHHH.....
Leg is SLOWLY getting better and I am hoping to get out by Friday, but not holding my breath. First visit to the hospital and this really, really sucks !!!!
So...sorry to vent but thqt's where I have been this past week. Can't wait to get back online.
